Learn More About Vancouver's First Lash School
The most timeless curls and lengths, lash artist edition:
Trends in the lash world come and go just like people do. Mega volume one year, wispy spikes the next, anime lashes and more. But just like in fashion and beauty, there are certain looks that never lose their charm. As lash artists, one of the most important lessons to learn is this:

Timeless curls and lengths will always outlast fleeting trends.
Yes. It is a bold statement, but this is why I believe it will never go away.
The Rise of Realism Sets
Realism-inspired lash sets have left clients and lash artists speechless because of their natural, daily wearable look. Unlike dramatic “strip lash” styles, realism sets mimic how natural lashes actually grow: a mix of lengths, slight variations in layering, and nothing too heavy at the base. All lash sets have their place to shine and darker volume sets can be beautiful if done right.
Clients love natural style because it enhances their eyes without overwhelming them. Perfect for daily wear, professional settings, and anyone who wants beauty without shouting for attention. For lash artists, mastering realism is a skill that builds trust, loyalty, and a reputation for elegance.
Softer Curls That Never Go Out of Style
B curls, C curls, and soft lifts like LB and LC are the unsung heroes of lash artistry. While CC/D curls and beyond may create bold drama, softer curls have an understated sophistication that never dates.
B Curl: The softest and most natural curl, great for inner corners and clients wanting the “I woke up like this” effect.
C Curl: A universal classic. Enough lift to open the eye, but not so curled that it looks artificial. A true “safe choice” for almost every client.
LB & LC Curls: Modern alternatives that lift straight lashes beautifully while maintaining a natural look. These are game-changers for clients with downward growth or monolids.
These softer curls often highlight a client’s natural beauty instead of masking it.
Why Less is Often More
It’s tempting as an artist to want to showcase our skills with fuller fans, longer lengths, and dramatic designs. But sometimes, less is more. Timeless sets:
Age more gracefully (dramatic lashes can age a client’s look).
Prioritize lash health by avoiding excess weight.
Adapt to every lifestyle, whether your client is a student, a busy mom, or a working professional.
A simple set of 6–12mm lashes in B or C curl, styled thoughtfully, can often make a bigger impact than 16mm D curls ever could.
The Lash Artist’s Takeaway
Trends are fun, but timeless artistry is what sets you apart in the long run. Realism sets, softer curls, and the “less is more” mindset will never go out of style because they focus on beauty that feels effortless.
When clients leave your chair feeling like the best version of themselves, not like they’re wearing someone else’s lashes, you’ve mastered the art of timelessness.
