Learn More About Vancouver's First Lash School
Is longer lash education really necessary?
The answer depends on what kind of student you are. There’s the long way or many shortcuts.

As Alex Hormozi says “the long way is the shortcut because the short cut never gets you there.” Longer lash education may seem daunting at first, but the benefits and long-term results speak for themselves.
Think about education in general:
Car mechanics train for years before they can confidently fix vehicles on their own.
Hairdressers often study for at least two years, practicing on models while learning about hair structure, porosity, and techniques. Even after completing hair school they continue their education throughout their careers.
Makeup artists, whether in bridal or special effects, the craft is not mastered in two days. It takes time, countless models, and a deep understanding of undertones, textures, and features.
Now, compare that to a typical 2–4 day lash training. If you handed anyone tweezers and lashes, sure. They could “do something.” But would it be safe? Would it look professional? Probably not.
Longer lash education is designed to integrate real-life scenarios and break down complex techniques into a format that’s digestible and practical. Students can reflect on theory while applying it directly on live models. This extended practice, under the guidance of a professional trainer, prevents the small bad habits that often creep in after short courses.
Without that foundation, new artists may rush into creating full volume sets, thinking “bigger is better,” while overlooking crucial details like attachment zones, direction, retention, comfort, and safety.
When we go for any service, the provider’s experience is what builds our trust. The same is true for lash artistry: the more thorough the training, the more consistent and reliable the results.
The bottom line: Yes, longer lash education is a necessity. It produces higher-quality work, more confident artists, and upholds a strong reputation in an industry that continues to grow and thrive.
