My mission is to deliver a message in the lash industry that highlights dedication, quality education and passion.

By re-paving the path of lash education for new artists and lash trainers, the only outcome here is going to be success and revival in quality services and education. I aspire to help lash artists and trainers build confidence in their craft by providing what is timeless and beautifully unique.

By building up a culture around serving others before yourself, Benevolent Lash Co leads and guides lash business owners towards a clear vision and purpose of doing work with love and doing it well.

Hi, I’m Melody!

I’m a Vancouver-based lash artist, educator, mentor, and founder of Benevolent Lash Co.

What started as a hobby after school, lashing my friends in my bedroom, quietly became a career I never expected to build.

Nearly nine years later, I’m still fascinated by the same thing that drew me in from the beginning: creating beautiful work with intention.

I’ve built my career around natural, timeless lash design, refining technique, and teaching artists to understand why something works, not just how to recreate it.

Today, I work with lash artists at every stage, from their very first set to refining the details that separate good work from exceptional work.

And I still believe there’s always more to learn.

I’m known for creating and teaching natural-looking lash extensions, clean lash lines, and styling that works with the client’s features, not against them.

My approach isn’t about following what’s trending.

It’s about understanding direction, placement, texture, balance, and the natural lash well enough to show people lashes can still look beautiful when the trends change.

I’m also the creator of the BVL Fanning System, co-founder of the Wasian Method, and founder of Quantum Leap. These are different parts of my education that come back to the same belief:

Master the fundamentals, then make the technique your own.

But my work isn’t just about how a finished set looks. It’s about understanding the why behind it: direction, placement, styling, balance, and the fundamentals that make good lash work repeatable.

That same belief shaped the way I teach.

I founded Vancouver’s first multi-week lash school for beginner artists because I knew new lash artists deserved more time, practice, and mentorship than a quick introduction could provide. Lash extensions are a skill that takes time to develop, and I believe education should give artists the space to actually learn, make mistakes, ask questions, and grow.

For me, it’s not about teaching someone how to get through their first set.

It’s about teaching them how to become an artist.
